Put this on Grumpy's calendar earlier this year. Hopefully I'll have the van ready by then.

I was thinking about attending this one. Anyone know how serious this one is?

I'll have skids by then, and a slight chance of having a lift on by then, but I bet I'll still have my road tires on at that point.

I did want to go to one of their runs this year though.

It's not supposed to be too challenging....

I think you'll be all right, there was a Subaru Forrester wagon on the one I went to in March, along with alot of stock Jeeps

COURSE: Approximately 56 miles long. Will take about 3 hours to complete. One pit stop. This is one of our tamer 4 wheel drive trails, however, this rally will separate the men from the boys and is restricted to 4 wheel drive vehicles only! (If you plan on bringing the family minivan, please bring a cell phone to call for a tow truck.) The route is mostly paved but has a couple of the meanest roads that southeast Indiana has to offer. During the rally we will visit a covered bridge, an apple orchard, ford a stream bed five times, pass through a small tunnel and drive up a lane known locally as the “Devil’s Staircase.” Run this route and be able to tell your grandchildren about the day you drove up the “Devil’s Staircase”!

To me it sounds like a stock 4x4 should be able to handle it.

This one is supposed to be tamer than the all Jeep Rally I went to this past weekend and I made it just fine with a stock Liberty. So the one in November should be fine for a stock Jeep.

You just may want to be sure to bring some tow straps in case the Forester comes again this year... I got to hear all about that

Let's hope so although with that kind of driving we may still be pulling him out of something... Not saying that I am an expert in any way but I think I could have avoided that.
On a somewhat related note my brother who also owns a Subaru now has his eye on the lifted Cherokee that is for sale near my house. I also have my eye on it but I think I will stick with what I have for now. The little KJ really impressed me for being stock. It didn't really miss a beat the whole day. Now I am Hooked on wheeling and I feel this could get expensive

I may try to make it, not definite though, I will be in the Tahoe. I was reading the sign up sheet.... "if you plan on bringing the family minivan, make sure you have a tow ready"..... Still wished I had my lifted Astro on 31's.... I'd show them.
