It is not because of a post in a single thread. His name or "moniker" says it all...kj in a tight spot...and he does not own one. That should be your first hint...here are just a few posts I found in about 5 minutes and there is a general theme to all of them:
Have a good time payin for all that...I am runnin an almost 5" lift on my TJ (kinda custom) and it was WAY less than that, plus I can fit 33s, and could easily fit 35s no problems Not worth all that for a 32" tire yall, dont get hung up on the whole 4" thing just cause nobody offers one for the KJ yet...

Im sorry where's the bull bar? The chrome deal is now considered a "bull bar"??
Uh, Yeah...those are called "bull bars" by most of the world...then there are "brush guards"..."push bars"..."bumpers"...ect. The funny thing is you know the piece he is talking about...right..?
Funny, when I think of a bull bar I dont think of a hollow piece of bolt on bling from the local Pep Boys that barely has any structural integrity, cant be used as a recovery point, and couldnt even take a small hit from a rock...but thats just me I guess I am well aware of what the so called bull bar in that pic is yes thanks

x2 I agree...yall need to understand that ANYTHING is possible!!! Just depends on what yall are willin to do to make it possible sometimes, especially since the KJ aint the most user friendly jeep to get mods for IMO

Air down rings a bell When I run the trails that lead to the real trails I air down to 15 or 10 psi and can go down them washboard roads just fine.
TJ drives like a truck, solid axle obviously so it aint supposed to be all cushy like a KJ or somethin else. But I love my TJ and didnt buy one for the ride quality thats for dayum sure. Plus it goes more places, both stock and modded, than any KJ ever will go...

Seen what work? SFA KJs? How many are out there, thougth there was only a handful...yea the KJ has a slight edge on wheelbase, but the TJ beats it hands down as far as approach, departure, breakover, off camber, etc...these are what would sell me on an offroad vehicle not wheelbase

I have seen them work as well or better off road than a comparable long arm lifted TJ due to the wheelbase advantage

There Are a few and I saw a pair of them work in Moab last year plus many trips w/ allyrands here in So-Cal . Come check out his approach and departure angles and his Awesome breakover and you will see what I mean. Ask Seth about dragging other long arm vehicles off rocks during his Rubicon trip where he Had no hang ups or problems. (IIRC)
Oh and why is it that Some TJ's are streatching their wheelbase and tummy tucking their bellys anyhow??
Not looking for a an argument, just pointing out the +'s of an SFA KJ.
I aint lookin for an argument either Not sayin the SFA KJ aint a cool thing and Im sure it does real good offroad, BUT I was just statin that as far as angles go its gotta be given to the TJ, I dont see how this is debatable personally. Yea TTs and stretches are popular on TJs true

I think it's kind of funny that TJ'ers are making it more like KJ's and KJ'ers are making it more like TJ's. The JK is the perfect compromise IMHO, maybe a bit long but what killed it for me was the 1980's style interior. I mean why does off-road capability have to mean utilitarian in JEEP's eyes? They can take a lesson from the interior of the H3 or even the Grand. I'll take a SFA Liberty and have the best of both worlds and then be happy to wheel with anyone anywhere.
I dont get it, "I think it's kind of funny that TJ'ers are making it more like KJ's and KJ'ers are making it more like TJ's" making what more like KJs and TJs??? Ummm the utilitarian style of CJs, YJs, and TJs is what makes them jeeps, not leather heated seats, power windows, leather wrapped steerin wheels, A/C, all that other creature comfort bull$hit That is what makes a jeep a jeep, bare bones, no nonsense, offroadin machines...all these other things are just a waste of money and cause more problems in the long run for those who actually like to wheel em hard and heavy

These are just a few I found with a simple search. It is fine for others come here to post and even criticize (constructive), there is a difference in many of kj in a tight spot's post at L.O.S.T. between constructive and just plain negative. The general tone of his posts are not positive for the most part...on the other hand Brian does contribute some good info here at times...he is like his own OxyMoron with his good days and bad days...
K guys I said I was done but I had to come back for this post. Im sorry if I had some negative comments to make, maybe I am just havin a crummy weekend, I know last week was bad but that dont mean I should be on here rippin others. My apologies and hopefully we can all move on from this and continue to contribute. Like Darby said, I aint always like this guys, I guess it just musta been a few threads that were posted in short order that got me goin. Again, apologies
