Hi all
I'm new to liberty's But not to jeep
I recently bought a used 2007 Liberty Sport Automatic

How do I tell if my KJ has the cooler needed to tow a heavier trailer?

My girlfriend has a pop up rated at 2500lbs but according to the book i need the auto w/cooler to tow that much.
If it does not have the cooler should I take it to the dealer or is it easy enough to pick up one and install it myself.

crawl under and find the lines from the trans to the radiator, then see if they go to a cooler after the radiator. after frying a few auto tranny's, I'd tell you to go get a substantial cooler, mount it where it will get plenty of airflow, and it never hurts to install a temp gauge.

factory cooloers are usually about 20% of what they pught to be, capacity wise, imho.
