First, Welcome Snoogans! I know what you are going through. I am installing my first lift tomorrow

WOOOOHOOO and I had the same choices. Since I have not installed it yet, I can't give an accurate idea of the install. BTW, mine is a OME HD lift. I was leaning towards the daystar but I need new shocks and in the end the OME just made more sense for me. Why rip the darn thing apart more than I have too.
As for the tires, I have Yokohama Geolander HT/s 245/70/16 and currently they look good...although I do not recommend the tire much. Most of it is due to the heat out here in Vegas...I think plus if you go off the beaten path they take a punishment and loose rubber. So, I am looking at a few suggestions now. Keep an eye out for my post that will most likely be this Sat, since I am starting the lift late Friday now. (due to father-in-law working, the nerve!) LOL.
On a side note, Where do you go off-roading in Batavia? I used to live in Lake Geneva and my Father's parents lived in Aurora, so we would go through there all the time...but that was many years ago. I don't remember much in the way of trails there but it has been many years. Any idea if that old Round barn is still there off of...Randal Road and 34 I think it was.
