I just had my alignment checked, and the guys test drove it and everything and it will still not drive straight.
The alignment is dead on with the alignment machine.
What is wrong with my jeep?

Could be as simple as tire pressure.

I've got the same problem here! Stumped over this. But..... will be looking it to this. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=42269 Let us know what your out come is and i'll do the same. Could also be LBJs, Break caliper (front or rear) dragging, Wheel bearing. oh, one other thing... Did you get new tires or fairly new??? Could be as easy as radial pull?

Try this one really quick... Move the front tires to the rear and rear to the front. Could be a tire pull do to unbalanced tire or what not...
I had a heck of a time figuring out why my jeep was pulling to the side. I had an alignment done, just had my wheels and tires balanced and my balljoints were replaced under factory warranty all in the same week. Then for 800 miles, my jeep continued to pull and I noticed bad tire wear. Really bad tire wear. It actually took 1/3 the tread off my front tires!!! It ended up that someone suggested that I might have a tire pull.. I moved the front tires to the rar and I have no problems what so ever. IDK how anyone would be able to diagnose that, but if you cant find anything else wrong, try it frst actually, its simple.
Let me know if it works

I would've said, accept it but since you don't have a lift on, then they should be able to align it. Obviosly something else is wrong. Could be them with no KJ experience. Could be what was mentioned earlier.

actually would be easier to just swap both front tires to see if the pull changes to the other side, then you know you have a bad tire, i would ask for a printout of your alignment specs and get a second opinion also. alot of people dont like to align kj cause the caster and camber are a little more indepth than the average alignment.

I dont know how tire pulls really work, I assumed that one was out of balance cause I have some bad gouges on my rims which require alot of added weight to balance the tires. Anyways, after a couple thousand miles with the tires from the front now on the back, there is no problems I can see. I swore up and down that it had to be that the alignmen shop was yolkin me. I had them redo the alignment three times for no charge!! Cause they couldnt diagnose the problem either.

It is not tire pull because they did swap the fronts to see and it still pulled to the right.
It is not tire pressure because I am really anal about that and I check it just about every morning before I go somewhere.

Have them adjust the left front with .5 degrees more negative caster then the front right and see how it drives.

It could be a number of things.. No uneven wear on tires? I am assuming it might be the lower ball joints. I was just suggestion the quickest, cheapest fix.

No.

Sidenote.

How are your balljoints? All you say is it won't go straight...which way does it go?

There are several posts all over this website on how to check balljoints. Not to mention, before doing an alignment on ANY vehicle, balljoints/tie rod ends/bushings should be checked for play.

Does it wander? or does it pull to one direction?

If it's a wander or a "wobbly" feeling, ThunderbirdJunkie would bank on toasted upper balljoints.

Then go to a shop that knows how to align a vehicle PROPERLY.

If you let go of the wheel, does it go right, or is the steering wheel just off center?
