Seems how you have an 02 KJ I would either go with the OME kit or the Frankenlift II
The Frankenlift is a little bit more money, BUT the kit comes complete. No need for spring compressors.
Budget lift means simply that BUDGET! and REGRET
I had the Frankenlift II on mine and it was AEWSOME!
I have the Moab (reubicon rims) on my KJ.
When I had the lift on I had 245/75/16x8 tires. I removed my lift and i now have 235/75/16X8 If you get the Moabs you will need to get a tire fitment of at least 8" width hence the 16x8 rim size other wise your could risk the chance of blowing your bead off the rim. People will say its ok but you would be better off getting the rim width to match the tire width or more. The range would be like: 16" tested on 7.5 to 8.5 rim width.

you will need to pound your both pinch welds down so your tires do not rub.

Ow, me first!!

Hiya, Kingjeep can you start using points and comma's please, I ran out of breath reading your post... :D

If you do not have a spring compressor and you want a budget lift...and you want to do it yourself and you need money for new tires and maybe MOAB rims...I'd say:

Terraflex.

But you both have to let me step in and preach a little bit here!
You have an 02 so your suspension is TOAST. It needs replaced and the only way to do that is with new springs and shocks all the way around. Budget lift will get you nothing but heartaches a few months down the road since your springs have already sagged.

With that said best bet 4 OME springs/4 Rancho shocks. Rear RSX 17004, front RSX 17505, springs you can go either medium duty or Heavy duty ones medium are OME 926 front rear OME 947s or Heavy Duty OME 927 front and rear OME 948s. Still with me?
Front Teraflex bumpstops , 2 rear bumpstops ( can make them cheap out of hockey pucks and you will be good to go with lift, a great ride ( better than before) and total cost maybe 675 /700 bucks.
I have had the OME HD springs and Ranchos on for 80,000 plus miles and no problems AT ALL!

And yes please some common rules of periods, capitols, commas, it will make us less tired trying to read what you wrote. Not beating on you just easier for us old timers who had to learn to write the correct way!

As for the first part, I agree. I thought my eyes were going to start bleeding, even with the bifocals.

As for the second part, I know this price is pre-assembled, but not all have access to a mech shop. I'm, though, willing to pay this price to
All J's knowing it's done correctly, than some alignement shop that may not be familiar with it.
Quote:
Standard Frankenlift I: $851.84 & Shipping (but no sales tax)
The Standard Frankenlift Kit uses Pre-Assembled Rancho 17505 Front Struts, OME927 H/D Front and Rear OME948 H/D Coil Springs, Rear Rancho 17004 Shocks, All J Products Proprietary Poly Parts, Left and Right Daystar Upper Strut Plates, All Hardware needed and all stem cushions needed, and Rear extended Bump Stops. Also included with each kit is an original artwork Frankenlifted Decal!

Front Includes:
Complete front assembled struts using: OME H/D coil springs; Rancho 17505 struts; Daystar upper strut plates, and our custom designed Poly Urethane spacers - they fit better, they look better, and they're designed specifically for your KJ!
(are spacers and Front Teraflex bumpstops the same thing?)

Rear Includes:
OME948 Heavy Duty coils; Rancho RSX shocks; and Daystar rear bump stops.

An original artwork Frankenlifted Decal!
Makes me feel all warm and cuddly on the inside!

Only reason I'm asking is, I'd hate to have this all torn apart and suddenly need to get something.

I would recommend pieces together an OME HD lift with Ranchos and just run up to your local auto parts store and rent some spring compressors, it will run you about $650 shipped to you.

I went all OME and had a local shop tear down and rebuild my fronts using their spring compressor. Cost me $100 and I probably got hosed but they have been good to me on other things so I figured it was goodwill.

where are you located? If you go to your local auto parts store they usually have some they will let you borrow for $30 and you get it back when you return the compressors

I pulled the front assemblies out and took them, along with the new replacements, in and they swapped the parts for me. I get the credit for fighting with the clevis forks!

i would go with the bottom of the line frankenlift.. that's what i have and it is AWESOME... it's about 150 more than rusty's and the same amount more than OME piece together lift (which both require a ton of work to get 32's to clear.. or get the height of the frankenlift). all you do is call, order it, and bolt it in. comes assembled and everything. it will also give you room to clear 32's. any other lift (besides JBA 4in/6in) you will have to do major work to clear 32's. my opinion, buy it once, in one place, in one piece, and bolt it in and be trouble free for the next many many many miles to come (i've had mine for 25000 so far with absolutely no problems.)

I went to Kragen. Rented the manual strut/spring compressor for cost. Got refunded when I returned it.

It is a real pain in the rear to compress the springs manually. I didn't have access to a better option at the time, but if you can, find a shop that will do it for you or get ahold of something more heavy duty like a press or hydraulic compressor.

(which both require a ton of work to get 32s to clear ?? ) mmmm interesting comment, mine would clear 32s easy if I would ever get the 4.10s installed

Now where have i heard this beforeee   In my oppion, i like Toms way the Best KingJeep, thats the way im going, manyy people on this forum will warn you of budget lifts/spacer lifts. "you get what you pay for" is a common exspression about them. I remember thinking about just getting a 2.5" spacer from rustys when i first joined,  just listen to everyones advice and learn from others experiences
