They are all so true that it hurts...and yet still funny. Here's another...

If you read through all of these chuckling and still have no intention of getting rid of it...

I will never forget the day that happened to me.

The guy runs out frantically trying to warn me. I mean YELLING "NO NO NO". Then he is amazed that this thing even exists and we have a long conversation about it. Doesn't even care that I have a handgun holstered on my hip.

Good old West Virginia...

You might own a Jeep Liberty CRD if you don't talk about it negatively while in it for fear of it seeking revenge on you by breaking.

I did not. I have several Fords now and over 12 since i was 16. I have never worked on one as much as this CRD or my friends GM's. If Ford puts a Diesel in a small truck or SUV i will be the first to get one. Dodge or GM never! Jeep never again!

BUT.....I do plan to keep the CRD for a wile yet. I like to punish myself at times.

If you've actually talked on the phone with Corey at ID Parts, and Keith at GDE, you definitely own a CRD.

If the ESP/BAS and ABS light come on and you are not worried and know that the right rear speed sensor wire is the problem you might own a CRD :-)r

If every time your TPMS light flashes and dings at you randomly 1-12 days apart you give your dashboard the finger and scream obsceneties because you have replaced all of them, twice...

You might own a CRD.

If you remember your idle MAF number but not your anniversary date, you might own a CRD.

If you have paid more in repairs over the past 20 months than everyone else has paid for their 2nd hand CRD.

I have to agree I WOULD NOT part with my CRD if a significant other ever said "it or me" My response would be nice knowing you. :ROTFL:

I know that some members seem to have troubles with there's but like someone else said mine has been fairly good. Its been at least as reliable as the Subaru it replaced as my DD. sure I have had issues. I had my first window reg. failure not long ago, a problem with the power seats, sunroof leak that is the drain tubes clogging up. it has needed tires and brakes same as any vehicle and when the got shady I spent the $ to lift it with OME parts. Other than a thermostat failure I have had no failure issues with the engine in over 3 years. I have GDE and Provent.
Reading these things some make me smile some I think so glad not me yet, but overall the issues I have had are more "Jeep things" not CRD things. I am seeing the 100,000 mile service is going to be no fun. I'm calling ID Parts for the parts but not 100% sure who to hire to do the work, Diesel Pro in Glen rock, pa has told me they would be willing to work on it. other mechanics will only do repairs not involving the engine. mention working on a diesel engine to most mechanics around me and you'd think you asked them to fix a flying saucer. I love the Jeep CRD and am strangely more attached to it than any vehicle I ever owned possible..... faults and all.

You might on a CRD if you now understand the meaning of a love hate relationship. I love her when she is running and the looks she gets and my wallets hates her when she goes down :-)r or when it is time to upgrade  .

If for the first time in your life you've got stacks of brochures for different auto/heavy truck repair school programs sitting on your night-stand.

If you've been pushed to switching careers due to consistent, vehicle-related woes.

Then you might own a CRD.
Save money, become a better man, learn to fix it yourself.

If your vehicle is used to reduce your carbon footprint, by helping to create a greener environment and lessening the use of foreign oil by way of converting the free fryer oil you collect from a local restaurant into Biodiesel, all helping to pay down vehicle expenses, you might own a CRD.
