TDI owners and Large US Built Pickup owners who have had dual mass flywheel headaches would not agree. If Chrysler had used a solid flywheel, you could have resurfaced yours instead of throwing it away.
With my SunCoast converter that uses a billet front cover the flywheel mass is increased which puts less stress on the dampener springs. Also the increased flywheel mass results in a smoother running engine.
Since you live in Europe you can check out the dimensions of comparable VM engines used in industrial applications. I would bet the industrial type fly wheel will be solid and not much if any larger. But if you have no means to buy or make a solid flywheel, you are stuck with stock, too bad
