Hey all, going to get a new laptop soon, and other than the flashScan3, what else should I 'save' for the new laptop? Maybe I don't have to save it, but just download another one from GDE to the new laptop?
I vaguely remember making the .ori file to send to GDE, and he sent it back as a .mod file.
So, to refresh my quickly failing memory, the ONLY .mod file I have is the one installed in the Liberty, and the .ori is in the tool.. There shouldn't be a copy of either in my laptop.. correct? Anyone remember how it may have been addressed? All I can remember is the .ori or the .mod at the end.

Next; lets say I do pull a rabbit out of my hat and get my rebuilt engine installed, (fundage is short, and need allow for some more parts; torque convertor) and want to 'bump it up' from the eco-tune/full torque it currently has.
Does the ori tune have to be re installed to write over with a Yeti type, or can GDE's be written over?
It may be beneficial to have a pure copy of the original, and the GDE somewhere 'just in case'...

Last question; I see Yeti's are in stages; can someone give a quick overview on what each level does? Not looking to break glass ceilings, maybe something up-to what the 'hot tune' was.

For the Yeti tunes, you need MPPS software and USB cable.
With MPPS you can read the GDE tune and save to your laptop (I've done it).
Then you can write the Yeti tune over it.
Then reload your saved GDE tune if you want to go back.

The Yeti stages are basically:
a little more power
a little more more power
more more more power
Each with EGR and FCV delete.

I probably have the most miles with the Yeti stage 2. I really liked it.
Currently running the stage 4.

So, for comparative purposes, (if possible) Would the StageII be comparable to say, the eco tune ft version... and Stage IV to the 'hot tune' version by GDE? Is that even close?
Does the Stg. 4 require turbo/boost sensor 'upgrades'?
