I would angle it up before welding and also install a hanger, if you go off road and have to back up that thing is going to be a plow, also it will bounce a lot more than you think.

I'm just welding the muffler to the bolt flange, also, in the picture, it isn't bolted on all the way, so it is hanging down. as it is now, it sits at a slightly upward angle, a bit above the frame, and it is solid as a rock.

Have you noticed any exhaust fumes in the cabin when idling down trails or sitting at a stop sign. I had a set of dauls run on a suburban and the muffler guy would not run the exhaust straight out the back do to the door on back and fumes. He turned them out behind the tire. Just wondering.

i did when i first installed it (so i thought), but it was just the smell of the excess glass burning out of the baffle. that lasted, maybe two days and went away, now i never smell a thing, unless i have it running and Im under it
