The patient soon to be lifted. A 2003 Silver KJ Sport. 138K miles. Runs like a top to this day. Owned since 2006/2007 when it had 54K miles. Minor mods to date (in signature). Swapped all fluids top to bottom to synthetics at 90K. Had to replace ball joints for some good ones after the factory recall joints failed miserably. Made final payment this past Feb. 1. So time to lift. Recently added the Cragar Soft 8s - 16x7 with 4" backspace. Barely a rub to speak of, but it needs a little lift to complete the package - I will get no rub anywhere without pounding the pinch. I could easily let it go as is now, but why stop there right?! The sickness has returned and I've been bitten again by the mod bug with a few extra sheckles in my pocket. I will add pictures post op once its complete. I'm just waiting on the parts to arrive (ordered today) and to get the date I can get to the awesome people who are going to help - this forum rocks  . I'm pretty excited. Once these excellent Nokians wear out (my second set) I may opt for a slightly larger Duratrac 245/75 setup or possibly TKOs - but these still have plenty of life and they are great tires for my climate.

My lift will be:

4 springs (2- 927s/ 2- 948s)
4 shocks (bilsteins: front F4-BE5-D916-H0; rear F4-BE5-6458-H7)
2 extra top isolators for the rear
2 Teraflex front bumpstops
4 hockey pucks
3/8" upper plate - front
2- 3/8 inch bolts 2.5 inches long with nuts
JPA 4.5 A-Arms
Alignment

If the Nokians are worn out, look at Hankook atm's. I put 235/75/R16 size no rubbing and didnot pound over the pinch weld. Loved them in 18" of snow, unstoppable it was, :JEEPIN: open diffs and all. Got mine for $100 each PM for details if needed.

I think its cool your running nokian vatiivas. I run the MT version and love them. It's nice to see someone else running the brand.

They've been excellent tires for the slop and snow here in cleveland. Tons of siping which i like for the wet stuff. I also like the fact that they use some multi compound (sounded scientific didnt I?) that actually makes the tires "stickier" as they wear down through the lugs. the siping also goes 100% through the lug unlike alot of other brands. they do wear quicker but that's the price of stickiness I suppose and I clock alot of highway miles. I am on my second set of these as the first set really proved itself through some harsh winters. those mudders you have look pretty amazing. now that's a crazy lug design and I like it.

These Vatiivas also have the nice squared, aggressive shoulder design that I was looking for...when this set is up, who knows, maybe I will stay with Nokian but just go up to the 245/75 size with this lift. the grass is always greener when looking but I gotta say these haven't let me down yet. Can't speak for offroad, but I would imagine they'd do pretty well. The price is in the sweet spot as well when buying 5. :D

Ok...The Dr. has scheduled the lift enhancement surgery for the morning of the 18th...my KJ is not allowed to eat or have any fluids but gasoline for 24 hours prior to the operation. :ROTFL:

Seriously, I cannot wait to get this done - I've only thought about doing it for 4 years now. :pepper:
