I washed my KK for the first time today (I've had it a month and a half). I wash my TJ once a year whether it needs it or not. I think it looks better dirty.
I think I'll be washing the KK more often though. The reason I washed it today was that I was going to be working under it and I didn't want dirt falling in my face every time I touched something.
I installed a front tow hook on the passenger side. I decided not to install the 2 hooks like some others have done. It isn't recommended for the KK because of some hoses on the drivers side that are close to where the hook goes but I know it works (I read the great how to that SkinInc69 did at
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=46929). I just decided 1 is enough since I may replace the bumber someday with one that has tow points on it (besides, it is cheaper to buy 1 so I can buy something else too

).
One thing I will say, it is different on 2009 and 2010 KKs because of the extra lower grill piece on the newer models. The instructions that come with the skid plate are for KKs without the grill piece. The grill is nice but it makes installing the tow hook a lot more difficut if you don't want to take the bumper off. If it wasn't for that grill piece, I could have done it in a few minutes like others have done. As it is, it took a lot longer because of the restricted access you have to the area where the tow hook is attached. I took pictures while I did it so if they came out, I'll post a how to that concentrates on the difference in the installation if you have that extra grill piece (if you wonder what grill piece I'm talking about, see the link above and look for a post by wingnuts that talks about the grill piece).
I also installed my trasfer case skid plate. I haven't noticed a how to on that so I'll post my pictures and a write up soon. It was pretty easy and didn't take very long at all. I still have the other 3 skid plates to install when I get around to it. I think I'm going to hold off on the one that covers the engine until I decide if I am going to relocate my oil filter (so I don't bust my knuckles every time I change it

).
Today was the first time I have taken a wrench to my KK. It felt good!
