Not to sound like a jerk but isn't the jet 2wd?

Only if you got a 2wd KK. Jet is just the trim. Blacked out headlights, 20" rims, chrome etc

I'm stock for now, but just ordered OME springs, and getting Bilstein shocks. I plan on doing a top plate and clevis too. I need new tires badly and don't want to buy tires twice, making me lift early. After a few months or so I plan on getting new wheels to push the tires out. I like your stance though, even just sticking out a tad farther is perfect.

Thanks! You'll love the new ride height and other benefits. The tires stuck out just a hair more before the lift. Still looks better than shoved in the fender from the factory.

I can't wait. Hoping for ~3" of lift. I never understood the stance either. I mean from behind it's nice, but the minute you step to the side and see how tucked they are.... :furious: :banghead:

Nope...it's 4wd... took it off road couple times with the HP tires... it was doing okay... but now I am looking for more serious off road, so I replace my tires.

Pretty sure it's for aerodynamics. Check out all these new eco cars, all have fenders covering the wheels pretty well so air doesn't hit them.

I promise everyone that soon (hopefully this weekend) I will write an entire thread dedicated to this, but today I had Cragar soft 8's put on the Jeep. She's almost done, just a few minor things here and there. Here is just a teaser pic for now though. New wheels, Atthehelm's steel bumpers, and hand painted fenders. Did I mention I was in Germany?
Again, I will go into great detail about what it took to get her here. This project was four years in the making.

Looks really good with the two tone(renegade style) paint and those bumpers. What kind of backspacing do you have with those soft 8's and do you have any rubbing? I'm thinking of going to those when I go up in tire size.
Atthehelm's bumpers look great too. The approach and departure angles look improved.

The backspacing for those rims is 5" I believe. With the stock sport wheels I experienced slight to moderate rub at full lock left and right. After I bought and had the new wheels installed the rubbing was eliminated completely. Not to mention the set was $350ish from summit racing, and they look awesome. I am completely satisfied with my wheel and tire set up. They stick out a little more as well and give it a more aggressive look. When I post my build thread I will include ample pictures so you can see what they look like from the front and rear.

Now that you mentioned it, The Renegade edition of the CJs were always my dream Jeeps. I may have to "Renegade" on the hood....

As far as Atthehelm's bumpers go, I could not be happier with the outcome. Morgan (Atthehelm) was super easy to work with, answered any (dumb) questions I had and even thought of a way to cut the ends off the bumpers so they would not exceed USPS weight restrictions and could be shipped to my APO box in Germany. His customer service was absolutely outstanding and exceeded any expectations I had working through the bumper project.

Bmxer524 - I would love to get my hands on a CRD engine. While vacationing to Berlin a few weeks ago, a Wrangler drove by and I could distinctly hear the clack-clack-clack of that big beautiful CRD engine. Gave me the chills.

Gageraid - I really appreciate it. Those plans are in the works, but not at the top of the list ( behind skid plates and mounting my Hi lift)

The difference is better quality than a stock exhaust system. Most likely will last longer. I painted the exhaust tip that came with the system with plastidip so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

I just cut the tailpipe a little bit and install the oval exhaust tip (black) It is color matched with my Jeep (Kinda).

It sounds deep at the lower speed...Once I pass 40, it sounds like stock-window up...

Drove it to NJ and back today. Have a little over 200 miles and I'm sitting just below half a tank.
