So while the rest of the country whines about the heat and the National Gaurd is sent in to take people to "cooling centers" we here in Phoenix don't even wanna hear about it....yesterday broke a 79-year old record by topping out at 118 degrees.

So how hot is it where you are?

I'd take 118 (and no humidity) over what those poor souls are dealing with in St. Louis. There's still 500,000 without power and close to 30 have died...mostly older folks who don't know how to get help. I don't know, something about beating your chest (likely sitting in an air conditioned home) while elderly people sit in dark, sweltering nursing homes just doesn't sit right with me. Sorry this just hits a nerve since most of our family is there and people are suffering.

Yep! My dad was in from Vegas last week. It was 101 and with the Humidity it was over 112 here in Sioux City, Iowa. My dad said he'd go back to the desert heat any day. Humidity just kicks your butt!! We're dumb enough to take my daughters to the zoo that day  We ended up in Fuddruckers afterwards and had 3 beers down each before we realized we should've been drinking water!

78 today in michigan. Sometimes I wonder if michigan summers make it worth dealing with garbage for the rest of the year.

In Richmond were hitting consistant upper 90's and even 100's. However, we do have LOTS of humidity so when its 100 it feels like its 120.

somewhere in the 90s all past week.....
here is the interesting part - I own a screen printing shop - we have a dryer on the production plant - to dry the printed t/shirts on - it is always set to 340 degrees - of course we do not provide air conditioning to the plant - it will be like throwing money away - so last monday I took my heat gun and went to the back side and measured 123 degrees - I'm not cruel but my employees have dealt with this before - I just had plenty of gatorade and ice for them all.

Hot and humid here in KY too. We had to add an additional 2 tons of cooling to our 450 square foot server room 2 weeks ago and it hasn't stopped running full blast yet. That was just to get it back down to the high 60's at night, and to the low 70's in the afternoons. At least it looks like we're going to get a break for the next week or so.

It was 100 the past couple and days with 80% humidity. I was pulling a boat in mountains with the A/C on and she did great! The boat isnt that big, about 2000-2500lbs but it still gets ya on those mountains. At the state park we went to I parked beside a 2005 renny pulling a jet ski and a durango 5.9 pulling a run-about!!!

We've had an average between 100 and 105 here in San Antonio since about the middle or April I guess, with no end in sight...

Well the temps topped out here in KC at 105 on Thursday with a RH of somewhere are 75%. I work for a haunted house in town here and we have been going in nights and weekends working on it trying to get it ready for the upcoming season. The ambient temp on the 5th floor where we were working was 127 degrees plus all the humidity, and this was at 9ish. We worked up there for about 3 hours pulling new electrical wiring through conduit with a box every 2 to 5 feet. Ironically we were working on a scene called "Heaven". Felt more like Hell to me.
