Well, I saw the really good deal on the rubicon rims. will those rims fit tires that will fit on a stock 2002 Liberty without rubbing? A lift is not in the foreseeable future so...

I'd have to say not functionally. As long as you drove in a straight line on a flat road, you'd have no problem. Turning will rub very badly, and you will rub with minimal stuffing. I'd not reccomend them without at least 2" of lift.

I mean could you put tires on the rims that would fit? If not, I might throw them in the garage until I can lift it

i guess one question is

are you Loweered or Pre-lowered

i have a friend in aus that was running 245/75R16 at's on his pre lowered KJ with no issues

so if your pre lowered you might be able to get away with it ????

do you mean something like putting stock KJ tires on the rubi rims? I put my stock 225/75 16s on rubi rims, there is a very small gap between tire sidewall and the lip of the rim. Otherwise i haven't had any problems.

there is no way that rubi rims with the mt/r's would fit on a pre or non pre lowered kj.
they would rub everytime you turned the wheel even 10 degrees either way.

Rubicon rims will fit just like any other rim. They will work just fine. They will give the kj alittle wider stance, it makes it look better IMHO.

I'm using them on my unlifted 2005 4x4 gaser. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR SAFETY!!! The additional width of the stance has saved me from one of near miss rollovers on the freeways already. The handling is much improved and then there's also the looks...much more jeep like!!!

not to take over the thread but does anyone have pics of thier un-lifted KJ w/ Rubi rims?? This seems like a way I might go as right now lifting isn't feasible either.

Thanks,

M
