a piece of rubber and some quick jb weld will fix issues like this. For a permant solution (without replaceing entire gas tank) jb weld it up real good.

Also, get a skid plate....

Anybody saw the new eposide of Biker Build off on the Discovery channel. Billy Lane's gas tank had a crack and he tried this bar soap method, it didn't work out for him. I just kept on leaking. I would try to get a new/used gas tank off a wrecked KJ. And buy a gas tank skid. Only $90 from JParts.com

Now would be an excellent time to get yourself a KILBY gas tank skid and NEVER EVER have to deal with this issue again.

The Kilby skid is pure beef...70 #'s of steal protecting your pride and joy.

I have one and absolutely never worry about hitting my gas tank on anything becuase I know Im covered. Actually...thats how I feel about my SuperSkid and boulderbars too....

If you get the good stuff you never have to worry 8)

OEM gas tank skid is cheap .... real cheap. And, it works. OK so you'll have dents every now and then, but hey, you get what you pay for.
