hey folks,

I just got new tires today...yay me...lol and we trimmed the fender wells. No problem, but I am thinking of either relocating the washer res. or fabricating a new cover. I thought I saw a post on here somewhere about relocating the washer res. Anyone know where that is? All ideas about protecting this part of my KJ are appreciated.

Bullet, I just heated up the wheel well plastic with a blow torch and bent it forward around the washer bottle. With 265/75R16s the tire still rubs at the washer bottle, but not enough to bother doing anything about it. I can take pictures if you like. Why buy a new washer bottle when you can use a blow torch

After you heat up the plastic what do you use to push it back and form it cause I tried this and pretty much was making a mess and jsut gave up.

Any sort of tool should work. I grabbed it with a pipe wrench and held it forward around the washer bottle until it cooled. You don't really mold the plastic, but rather heat it along the line you want to bend it around, bend it, and then let it cool. You can't get a large enough area hot enough to mold it without burning the plastic. Remember, plastic is made of oil
