What would be a good price on a 06 Limited with an MSRP of 30,815? Dealer gave me a price of 25,917 before taxes etc.. which includes the $2,000 discount.

I didn't bargan as much as I should have but for a sticker of 30,950. I paid 27,000 out the door with taxes and everything. Part of the problem is that the other dealerships with in 100 miles are marking the CRD up almost $4000.

So $28650 out the door is too much for an '06 limited loaded up (incliuding 7% tax & 4 year tags), even though the supply of new ones seems to be drying up. Luke

What was your negotiated price, including rebates, BEFORE tax and tags - that's the comparison that matters. Everyone has to pay different sales tax and tags across the country. I bet if you back out the sales tax your deal is a very good one.

JsCRD KJ deal was $6500 off but does not state off of sticker or including taxes or not. But, $6500 off sticker BEFORE taxes is a phenominal deal and only happens for the lucky 1% of buyers that find a really hungry dealer.

I had an oil change done yesterday and talked with old salesman as I waited. The dealership has not had any CRDs since the last was was sold in late June. They would like to get some as they sell well. He believes that they could even get a premium over sticker, or atleast sell at sticker price if any were available.

Here in Atlanta, there are CRD's at a few of the local an distant dealerships - not a lot - but you could definetly have your pick if you aren't very particular about colors and options.

If there are none available in your area, I see them regularly (new and slightly used) on www.ebaymotors.com and www.autotrader.com (where I found mine) ... so there's really no shortage if you're willing to travel a little to get one. If you're only looking in your own area, then it can give the perception of a shortage.

Even though there were quite a few available all within an hour or two of my residence, I still ended up getting mine in the Mid-West because I wanted my colors and options. The demand/shortage/supply is all based on locale. It's not nationwide by any stretch.

There are still quite a few available at dealers here in Maryland. The dealer I bought mine from had 7 CRDs (6 limited and one sport). Most of the other dealers only had two or three....and of course there were several dealers who didn't have any CRDs at all. Turns out mine had exactly what I wanted. I didn't want leather and all that becase it is a Jeep and I have dogs. I did want the power options and the Full-time 4WD.

That's very good and well above average. It's nice to see you got the side head curtain air bags. That is what sold me on my, safety wise, as it's most likely to save your life more than any kind of air bag in a side impace or rollover - definitely saves the ole mellon!!!

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I didn't go for it. Dealer didn't deal ...so I walked. I'm still looking, but also looking at DMAX p'ups.

Do you think that was a good deal? Luke

I was looking at DMAX pickups too, but they are in a totally different ballpark price wise. The CRD was the best option for me.
