After playing with the front you will need an alignment. If you raised the front, or installed my arms on a raised KJ already the caster chamber may look fine, but the toe in toe out will not be, your front tires will wear on the out side. When the front is lifted the tires toe in this will also happen if the tire looks like it is sticking out out the top.

Also to support what you are seeing, is that when you let the front droop on jack stands for a while and let it down the springs will be set in the droop position. It will take a while, or a quick drive to settle the springs back into their original static position.

Hey Al,

I just installed the new A arms today. The install wasn't too terrible and I think it improved my aligment but when I looked a little closer at the wheels I noticed the the tops of the tires are sticking out further then the low portion of the tire. Any reason why that is, sounds like reverse camber or something?

Your arms seem to be pushing it out too far.

That is the way they help restore alignment back to factory specs.

The upper a-arm is shorter than the lower. Therefore when the supension droops or the jeep is lifted, the top of the wheel tilts in because of the shorter radius the upper a-arm sweeps out.

To compensate for this you pull the lower a-arm in slightly with the cam bolts. However, there is a limit on how much you can pull in the lower a-arm and still retain factory alignment specs. Therefore, if you make the upper a-arm longer you don't need to pull the lower a-arm in as much.

Well the lower arm will need to be pulled out since al's arms are longer making the TOP of the tire stick out further. Not cool, yet another aligment and if it even does the trick.

Yeah I was one on the first few to get a set and mine did back out. Lock-tite and JB-weld fixed that problem.

The recent batch of arms have been ok, they have been torqued, and lock-tite was used!

There was about five sets of arms that went out that the oversized (approx. .01" too big) bungs were used on. The remaining 5 sets the ball joint was tacked to the arms. As indicated, once the ball joint breaks in, (and if the ball joint did back out, it was retorqued), there are will be more problems.

I recently had 10 sets made, and the ball joint fits real tight and they are torqued to specs. Out of the 10 ten sets, I have four left for sale.

Thanks for all your support! And feed back.
