Yes, with a weight distributing hitch with sway control - no problem. Just give me a DC transmission that will hold up and I'll be there with ya! :D

I second the motion with the addition of a trailer brake controller/assist

Brakes are a must for the trailer on this things! And installing the brake controller is not too bad!

6,870 lbs. total weight didn't seem like much to my CRD. You'll be fine..but like they said you do want trailer brakes and a good controller.

Souns like ideal size. We have been looking at smaller travel trailerss, does this model have a shower?

I tow a 17' Jayco Jay Feather Sport, GVW 3500lbs, equalizer hitch, no sway, electric brakes. I have had no problem with the CRD, it even tows it better than my 2003 Dodge Dakota 4.7.

Though not directly related to this thread I thought it was funny... When my wife and I went for the walk through for our new 11,000 lb 5th wheel the guy giving the tour asked what we were towing it with..... My wife (she is blonde) turned around and pointed at her CRD and said "that" ... The look on the guys face was priceless.... She was nice after a few seconds and pointed out my superduty....

Ken....
