For those of you who have not heard. Last Tuesday morning on the way to work I wrecked the Honda. Let’s just say Cement Mixer meets car, car meets guardrail. I'm ok but, the car on the other hand... Well let’s just say R.I.P. Thank goodness it wasn't the Jeep.

So I have been weighing my options. I thought about not replacing it but Robin says I wheel the Jeep too hard and what am I going to do for transportation when it’s in the shop getting trail damage fixed (you got to love her).

So we went shopping. It wasn’t my initial choice. But…

Well it was on my short list. But, I have always liked the Mini’s. After driving one again. I thought why do I need another 4x4? We like the idea of having fun car we can take on road trips and not have to take out a second mortgage every time we go. Now we can go away on weekends with the top down in comfort and style. The only problem I now have. Is Robin always wants to take it away from me.

The cement trucks around me have signs on the fron bumper that say "mind that child" or something like that. You need one on the front of your cars "mind that cement truck"....LOL Glad you're OK and that you had the Honda that day. Nice mini by the way, luv the color scheme. Been thinking about putting white stripes on my KJ like those on the mini.

Daughter has had a white Mini-S for over a year now. Basicly, she loves it (had a problem w/the dash, but its fixed now)! However, she backed it into a pole yesterday, but it's still drivable.

I will however, admit to have been looking at the Rubicons lately. Alas, I think I'd miss some of the creature comforts I've gotten used to: electric windows & locks, radio controls on the steering wheel, room to carry dogs & stuff....

I'm liking it to. You probably can't tell from the photo but it's an S too. You would not believe how this thing handles and moves with the supercharger. It’s just glued to the road. With the way I drive I’m probably getting a few tickets with this too. I wanted either British Racing Green or Pepper White. But the closest one even remotely equipped the way I wanted it was Chicago.

The funny thing was this is the second vehicle of mine totaled by a cement mixer. I thinking from now on I'm just going to run when I see one.

Cool Wheels! I had a friend who had a mini in 1967 (now I'm showing my age, duh) and it was boss! The thought has crossed my mind to get one. Good luck with it and lots of fun! Joe

Yeah but how's your shoulder? If you ever get tired of the Mini you can just use it as an RTI ramp for the Liberty. :twisted:

Tells you how hard I hit the center column. The Doc upped the pain killers and added a mussel relaxer to my regiment. But I look at the bright side with the way they cut me out of the car. I'm lucky I walked away.

I was telling Jen the same thing. Usually when they have to cut the pillars to get you out you won't be going out that weekend trail riding, or rigging cbs so that they will receive. Which is still working but I will fix it this weekend so expect a call :lol:

Daughter has the S in white, it's a blast to drive! I took it for service once, and when I passed someone while doing 60, I stomped on it. I was doing 130+ before I realized it! Supercharged go-cart!

I think it is a mutual hate to be honest....at least at my college, if I had to pick a group that hated it the most, I would pick the students...the teachers aren't required to do research in order to stay at the university so they have little work as it is....so whatever work they do give out is just to keep us busy and it is probably stuff they have just given out repeatedly over the years...at least that is what i have come to notice...thus the students hate it more because they are getting, what they think is, "pointless busy work" that the teachers will give to them and maybe never grade or give back...
