Finally....after all these years...

....I upgraded in size to LT 245/75/R16. The MT/Rs wore out after less than 20k miles and the wife complained too much about the noise, so I switched to BFG AT's.

Good luck with BFG mate, they get noisy later on as well. One trick that could reduce the noise for a while (only reduce) is switch your wheels back to front and front to back.

I think you will realy like the BFG AT's.

We have them on our KJ and really love them. They are fairly quiet, and with almost 20,000 miles on them they still look almost new. I have only had them rotated once at about 10,000 miles & will do again soon.

I think that's the way I'll be heading by next spring/summer. I've decided I'm on the pavement way too much and the GoodYear MT/R's just get to loud for regular on road trips.

Turn volume up to around 16 - 18 and you won't be bothered by the tires :-)r

May I recommend some Chemical Brothers, Front 242 or Funker Vogt?

The BFG new construction tires are fairly quiet. MY mud terrains sound like all terrains and they have big treads. The all terrains will last a long time my friend has had them for 60,000 miles and they still look like it has plenty of life to go.

Some of my friends complain about the tire noise. Basically, I say its a Jeep, get used to it. personally, I love the fact that you can hear it coming from a while away on such small tires too. There will never be anything but BFGs on my KJ.

They look pretty good! I love the way the MT/R's look but I am getting sick of the noise and thinking about switching to these. Great choice! My 2 cents!

not to hijak, but, i currently have revos, and i like em alot for pavement. i have been thinkin mud terrains next....how bout bfg mud terrains? any first hand user comments?

I gotta say I love my BFG Mts. They really dig in, look bad stupid, noise is tolerable and they are WAY less expensive than MTRs. Just my .02
