Are there installation instructions for the Frankenlift on the site somewhere? I hate to be a tool, but I did a search and looked in the Tech forum and couldn't find anything.

I ordered a Frankenlift last Thursday so hopefully it will be here by next Wednesday. I've never done a lift and I don't have a clue, so it should be good times. :D I also bought some tires and wheels that I can pick up tomorrow. I got some 31 X 10.50 Mud Terrain SXTs (from Les Schwab) on 15" RockKrawler wheels. Hopefully it will all look good and work well together.

Thanks for any info!

It's a jeep thing, my levels of perception are sufficient to ascertain your implication

My advice is to get a ratcheting tie down strap to aid in lining the clevis bolt up.

Thanks Mutt! It's funny that you replied the rims and tire size that I bought were inspired by the pics you posted from when you did your lift.

Thanks again!

Definatly get a rachet strap to line the clevis fork back up. I installed my Frankenlift and it took us hours to get it lined back up. I found out about the strap trick and it took me 10 mins or less when I replaced a blown strut.

I have never had to use a rachet strap...found that if you turn the wheel all the way one way it lines up pretty easily...Have done it three...no four times to my old KJ but I did have a lift which probably helps a bit too.

Thanks for the info everyone. I picked up ratchet straps and a torque wrench yesterday.

jeepkj02: thanks for the link to the How To: that looks like good stuff!

I'm hoping to do it this weekend and I'll try and get some pictures up afterwards.
