I checked my VIN and I got the recall. Can't wait to see what D/C will do to fix the problem!

So I called the jeep dealer today in Schaumburg and they told me they have a huge supply of ball joints. I talked to the service manager and they said they changed the designed of the ball inside the ball joint or something like that but it is still not greaseable.

I am scheduled for 9/12. The service writer dude had no idea what a ball joint was, let alone what the new oe was like.....

It's concerning to call the service counter at a car dealership and find somebody who doesn't know what a ball joint it. He does know what a jeep is, right?

Where you taking it, Dave Dennis Jeep? Wouldn't surprize me from them though. I've already been told I'm not welcome back after a disagreement, so if I opt for the recall I'll have to take it elsewhere.

Did you open a can on them eddo? :D

You already have the Moogs though, why would you need the recall? Im was thinking about getting them to pay for the moogs and get a quote for labor and get them to pay for that also, even though I put them in myself.

I took my Renegade in for some additions after the purchase. They were suppose to have these completed yesterday. Today, I found out they are holding my Renegade hostage until the ball joints are replaced. They should be in tomorrow. And then they will start the other work.

They had given me a PT Cruiser as a loaner. Tomorrow, in light of the fact that itt is hunting season here in SC, they are giving me a Grang Cherokee to hold me over the weekend or until all options are added.

Yeah nowadays they give you courtesy rides instead or you need to rent from enterprise.

I took my 06 red CRD with 1495 Miles on it into the dealer on Wednesday for a transmission problem that occoured on I70 last Tuesday. My speed went
from 70 MPH to maybe 35-40 MPh almost instantly right after the very loud klunk that I herd. IT was then they said my CRD was under recall for the LBJ's
MY Liberty was built in Dayton 03/06 how odd I was traveling home to Florissant MO from Dayton. Lucky no one was behind me other wise I would be
part of I70. Let you all know how my repairs turn out later.

:!: I'm glad you made it through that! I just reread your post and realized you had a transmission failure? What happened exactly?
