Wait! Dont the older KJ's have seniority or something? Not that I want to distract you and delay my rear bumper any, but have you figured out what the 2nd prototype for the 1st gen KJ bumper will look like? Will it look the same as before with just the lights recessed like this one? I remember you mentioning something about possibly changing some angles or dies or whatever??

As the thread on "All-J front bumper" showed, money talks and BS ... well ...

So it looks like RockLizard has different experience with 05-06 crowd. Heh :)

Not to take anything away from RL, but I've begged All-J to make me that bumper. If it was made again I would buy it in a heart beat. If any of the original 5 like RL's, I'll buy them his for theirs. KuJo got my vote for rig of the month because of that bumper.

What are those cut outs for on the front. Will that be for shackles? Also the predrilled holes for the fog light where will they be. Since I have the sport model my fog lights are recessed into the bumper but it would be nice to get an additional set of lights. I don't want to cover up the fog lights that I already have. any idea on weight?

Really like the bumper.

the cut outs are for the mounts for shackles. As far as i have seen there are already pre-drilled holes for fogs to be mounted on the bumper. weight i think heard was to be under 100lbs like around 90 or so, but RL will know for sure.

yes, I read that there will be pre-drilled holes for the fogs I just want to know where being that I already have fogs on my sport I would want the holes to be more in the middle where the renegade guys would probably want more in the original location cause their fogs are external. Got me?

I think the bumper is a little thick and chunky (vertically). Is there a chance of lopping off a little vertically?

The bumper is close to the stock crossmember to provide best approach angle. The lower angled piece protects the radiator. The top of the bumper sits right above the front crossmember and the angle starts right at the bottom of the crossmember. I have gotten this thing as close as possible to give best appearance and angles as possible, so unfortunately it does make it look "thick" vertically.

The redesign of the 02-04 bumper will basically just be the lights inside the bumper with the slots just like what you see on the 05-06. The angles really aren't going to change, but instead of using a sharp die to brake the steel, I'm going to try a more rounded die to tone done the sharpness of the bends. I'm not sure how possible it will be, but I will inquire about it with my manufacturer. Biggest problem I see is the brake areas will be rounded, but the welded and smoothed areas will be difficult to match the roundness of the brakes. Did that make sense?

Understood. Maybe it looks better painted so there's less contrast (blue and white cardboard kind of makes the white sticks out a lot more, maybe subdued black/gray will be less pronounced).

That bumper is too sweet to pass up. I was looking into an ARB but I just hate how far it sticks out in front.

I second the bull bar idea, hate to ask for too much though, I would be happy with the bumper as I see it so far but I would have to add a bull bar somehow after I got it, so it would be nice to get it that way from Rocklizard.

I didnt think about that! A bull bar would look really good on this.

NAW! Personally don't care for the bullbar. Hard enough to see down the front of the KJ for rocks and such. A bullbar would get in the way.

Perhaps, I'll make them and sell them to you. Just weld them onto Rock Lizard's bumper yourselves.

I hope if he does decide to add one he just makes it an option, cause me personally would decline then. I don't like the look of the bull bar. Plus whatever you hit (aminals) is gonna get all up in the grill and front end and do damage anyway.

I will more than likely have a grill guard bolt on option, although I will have to get a little more creative with the 05-06 model to make it look good without interferingwith the lights. I'll burn that bridge when I get to it.:D Thanks for the feedback so far.
