Hey guys, I just talked to my dealership and they advised they are doing the recalls based on vehicle year. They are starting with the '02 model year and working their way up to '06.

They would tell a woman that...

If you wrecked thanks to that balljoint, they could get in some big trouble for saying that. They basically denied a safety recall.

I called the dealer and told them the website showed I needed the recall - they made an appointment to change them - no paperwork.

Liberator84- they said they are sending the paperwork out by year so '02's will receive the paperwork first supposedly.

I am in the NW and I was told that the parts won't be available untill the middle of next month. Call DC I was told by DC that I didn't need a letter for the work to be done. I wish that my stealership would the work in accordance to model year, I have and '02 and I was still told I would have to wait at least 45 days.

Made my appointment when I saw my vin was included. The dealer looked it up to confirm my Lib was included, no paperwork required. I'll take pics when I get it back shortly.

Is there any indication when the ball joints will fail. Will it drive differently or is it something that just goes out of nowhere?

I think some people have reported steering problems and then checked ball joints and found them bad - however I don't think that's a reliable indicator. the only good way is to physically check - here's Clint's writeup
