Is it just me or the camera angle? Looks like that old CJ is sagging in the middle. I probably don't appreciate a 30 yr old Jeep as much as you. Just see it as a money pit.

See, that's just it - to me - these CJ-6 models are treasure considering they only made about 1200/year from 1955 through 1975. Of those years, only the modern engines were in them by AMC from 1972-1975. So if you want a 304 V8 or a 258 I-6, you've got maybe 100 left in existence in the country. Normally, I would jump all over it - money pit or not - but with the CRD, I just walked away. Just shocking to myself to drop my long time hobby due to loving my CRD so much....

If it wasn't for this forum, I'd be in the garage under a dull light bulb, staring at the CRD muttering "my precious, my precious....." 24/7.

I know some folks at DCX, they made it sound like over the next few years diesel would be an option across much of the jeep line here in the states. Patriot and Compass not far off.

I also Love my CRD, I was inspired by a picture of alljeeps KJ,along with a few other CRD'ers to lift mine. Just did it and I can't stop looking at it. I actually tripped over a planter because I turned around to check out the jeep as I walked away. I am so deep.......

I love our CRD too. Rotated the tires yesterday, got an extra jack, put one under hitch and one under front skid, and lifted it up 2 inches just so I could see what it would look like

So I am thinking OME will do for me, wife likes the look too  She also agrees on RL's bumpers and sliders, Looks like the jeep is getting all the christmas presents this year.

It nice we have such a great diesel support group here. Okay I will sit down and let someone else give their testimony.
