Two things on my '05 that really bug me are the seat belt dinger and the auto locks. When I'm on my property doing stuff, I don't want the dinger beeping at me. I've found ways to cheat it, but I want it gone! Also, how can I stop the auto locks? Nothing is worse than geting back there and having the door locked. Please let me know!

I snagged these instructions off another forum, but here you go.

The following steps must occur within the first 60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON or START position.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and buckle the driver's seat belt.

2. Turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY / RUN position (engine does not need to be running), and wait for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver's seat belt 3 times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.

4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

Forever, you can toggle it back by repeating the same procedure.

Forever. Check in your manual, you will find the instructions there.

No but the light only stays on for about 5 minutes or less. It is also easier to IGNOR!

The auo lock can be done on the EVIC if you have an '05>'06. I think it is a BCM program otherwise.

Thank you very much Neal. Worked on my 2006 CRD.

The EVIC is a display on the ceiling in the middle above the mirror that displays temperature, tire pressure, miles to refuel and other vehicle status messages. It also allows you to program some features like how long the headlights stay on after you shut the rig down or the auto door lock.

It's the on-board computer that is overhead by your sunroof. It usually has the compass and temp showing by default. Not all Libby's come with it. If you do have it, you have to cycle through the step button until you reach the auto locks and then can toggle it to have them lock at different speeds or shut it off completely. hope that helps..
