Last year when we went there was a largish parking lot right after the entrance. This is where most of the Jeeps parked. This is where everyone gets to walk around and look over everyone else's rig. The actual event stuff started basically just a few feet from the parking area. There were some more rigs parked inside the main area near the antique Jeeps. There were one or two Libs in this group. I don't know why they were seperate from the main group of parkers. They whole area is small enough to walk around quite easily but has alot of stuff packed in. Bunch of vendors, raffle area where all the prizes are laid out on tables and u basically decide what you might want to win and buy a ticket for that raffle. Decent food booths. RTI area.

Basically, the more Jeeps that show up, the more there is to look at. So, the spectators really make the event. It's a cool concept and we really liked the last one. Though for us it's like a 3 hr drive so we probl won't go if it rains.

This will give you an idea of the parking layout: (From the organizer's Rally page)

Ok still planning to be there rain or shine! I will be coming down from Vermont, not driving north from NJ. My son is at Norwich, and there is a Lee Greenwood concert Saturday night he got tickets for, so 6 hour ride to see my ROTC Marine (proud papa) and Lee Greenwood and than a 3 hour drive to the show(?).

Can't wait. Next week is the Jeff Daniels show, and Fall Carisle Swap meet!

Its great to be alive and Jeepin' I wonder if I get the trophy for the most mile driven to the show!!!!

You guys have NO idea what it's like to worry about rain every year  the forcast has been getting more positive each time I torture myself checking it  It's supposed to be in the high 70s to low 80s during the day and rain is not supposed to show until later in the evening after you will be long gone and I will hopefully be drunk

So even if it's raining where you are, good chances it is not here. I hope you guys will take a chance and come out since you can see we need more KJ goodness 8)

thats what my plan was originaly, but my wife put up a fuss about leaving at that time so of course I gave in now I'll be out of here at 8am sharp

it's a 2hr drive for me also so I should be there around 10am I will have your # with me along with others so I'll call you when I'm on my way or get close,we've been told there's a lot directly across the street if you want to wait for me & we can pull in together & park together if not DON'T WORRY about it I'll find you :D we'll be in touch by phone anyways,I'll see you there :)

as for weather depending where you look thier saying 50/50 chnc.of showers but more toward late afternoon this ends at 3 so we should be ok,I'm bringing an umbrella just incase

I'll be bringing decals also for those who want them,I also have 2 LG club t-shirts left that I'll bring,I'll be checking here before I leave

Glad to meet everyone, and the show was great. They need more venders!

Made it home safely, I think the KJ's were a hit! as was the LOST group in general.

Although if I had a buck for everytime I heard, my wife wants her Liberty....... I would have been able to pay for the trip!

Thanks for a good time everyone!

And thanks for the local Jeepers for having us!

Al

Keep an eye out for us next year and we can set you up with a club booth. It's great PR for your organization and also gives your members a specific location to meet and greet. Also, keep an eye on our website over the next couple weeks for pics. We had several photographers running around taking shots and those will be uploaded at www.JeepRally.org. In fact, the pic of the Paragon boo boo is from one of those photographers

Thanks again to those of you that came out in support of the Great American Jeep Rally!! 8) See you next year :D
