On my build to sheet is says:
Lock-up Torque converter---is that trac lock? I don't see anything that specifically says "trac lock". Thanks.

I think that has to do with your auto trans. If you want to find if you have trac lock get down under the back of you jeep and on the left side of the axle you will see a sticker(maybe green) it will either indicate that you have trac loc or an open diff....enjoy! 8)

No, "Lock-up Torque converter" is in your transmission. Did you check the axle tubes out by the brakes for a sticker that says "Trac-Lock"?

I didn't think Trac-Lock was available on the Liberty, just the Wrangler.

The only way to find out for sure is to have the dealer check and print out a build sheet. I didn't have any tags or stickers on my back axle, but after the dealer looked up my VIN, I found out I have the trac-loc limited slip diff.

Mine doesn't have any tags either but I felt mine lock up a couple of times during some of the harder take-offs in bad weather.

This was cut and pasted from a couple of my posts in another thread, but I think it will still make sense.

I think there is supposed to be a green tag somewhere on the axle, or you could pull the diff cover off and have a look, maybe you need to change fluids anyhow? Or you could jack up the back end so that both rear tires are off the ground, then turn one tire, if the other tire turns the same direction you have Trac-Loc, if it turns the opposite direction you have an open diff, OR a trac-lok that is worn out.

Im pretty sure about the tire spinning thing, it been a long time though. If I remember correctly if you jack up the rear wheels, block the front wheels, put tranny in neutral and spin a wheel, if you have trac-lock they will both turn the same. In park they wouldnt turn at all of course, unless you have an open diff, in which case they will turn opposite directions. Was a ford rearend I learned this on, maybe its different?

It would be great if someone that has a known good trac-lok could try this just to confirm[/b]
