This is probably not a good idea.......................

On that note, I am going to go ahead and lock this thread.

If anyone has issues or problems with anything they have purchased from Any vendor, they should take it up with that vendor off line. I know that ALL J would want to hear of any problems first hand through a phone call or email and not posted on the internet. I am also pretty sure that holds true for Any other vendors.

There has been discussion regarding ball joints and DC, but we cannot discuss a vendor??
We have discussed RRO without censorship.

Why is allj so special----------because>>>>

JJSKJ???????????

Man,,, everyone has the right to vent & speak there mind and there opinion.

BUT, there also has to be a line somewhere. Stateing your opinion on a product or vendor is one thing, but online fighting & trash talking is just bull.

People still don't trust RK because of the 7-UP, they stopped makeing it, now Jeepin By Al has signed up as a dealer of their parts & their NEW 3.5" lift kit.

Life's too short... move on.

THAT's just my opinion.

Censorship??

Oh and this post makes almost no sense. I guess you're frustrated that someone locked a thread that you created?

the thread being locked had noting to do with All J, as this one doesn't either...that thread was unproductive at the point it was locked...kind of like this one....what is the point you are trying to make Neal?...do you like to watch people argue online?....this forum isn't like any other....the owners, admns and mods here, really care about this communtity and want to keep it full of good info....its good to have an opinion of something good or bad, but when its turns into a bashfest someones going to lock it or delete it. JJ could have just as easily just deleted the whole topic, but he chose to just lock it because there is some onfo their that might be useful to someone..we all have better things to do than to argue on here..thanks...Wally

Auggie, no it is Sensorship, as in, "use some sense and move the fight to an off-topic area and leave the base thread in play". I went back and read the whole thread just now, so I guess I'm in the middle. If someone had posted a Frankenlift FAQ with that important bit of information, he would have been on the lookout for the bolts. Come on, they knew about it, so put it out there. My Frankenlift is coming in tomorrow from Miah, and you can be sure I plan to check the bolts, even though I'm sure they'll be fine - why? because it's an easy check.

Now, about FedZone & Quinn... Quinn, Heather had it right. Keep it short & positive and take it off line. FedZone, you should have removed that lift right away, dispite what AllJ told you. Hoping doesn't make something happen (oh how I want to put in a political reference here). So I can see that the thread was spinning out of control, and It might have been wiser to split the hijacked portion off rather than locking it. However, we all know I don't always see eye to eye with the moderators/admins

I dont believe he started that thread that was locked.

I do believe that thread got alittle out of hand. I must say that All J's does alot and just b/c some of the stuff they use in their lifts has something wrong with it isnt their fault. Anyone that runs a business can tell ya that.

I guess because FedZone and Quinn were way too hostile. Look, I feel your pain. If you could see the thread I generated in the lifetime section - well, they asked me where I wanted my $30 buck sent back to me at (don't know why, they had my address) - but be that as it may, I'm not one for censorship, but if I were a moderator, I would have split the thread. Locking it would have been an alternative too if I where short on time. (Although they didn't lock the top speed thread after it degraded into a bunch of safty centric people telling us of the evils of speeding rather than staying on topic, but that's another story...) Do I agree that we should be able to talk about any company - yes. Should it be done as your thread started out - yes. Should it degrade into hostilities - no.

Wow - JJ wont believe I sided with him on this one

Funny how everyone thinks they know who owns L.O.S.T. ...or... Have mind reading ability. Also funny how some seem to always want the last word...you know who you are. I started L.O.S.T. over four years ago to get away from these kind of threads that degrade into simple name calling, puffing up, chest pounding fights to show who is boss or who has the balls to fight authority. The bottom line is that the L.O.S.T. Forums are here to help...not harm. I don't think that constructive criticism is the same as what has been happening lately in more than one thread. You can call it censorship if you want, but it is the preservation of an informative civil forum in my opinion...and guess what?...My opinion counts. There are others here that have helped this site grow by doing more than just posting helpful information. These people have given up time, money and a bit of physical hands on help to others. These "players" do not gain any monetary or positional gains from all their hard work. The "Golden Rule" should apply here...Treat others as you want to be Treated.

So before you point fingers or call anyone out, take a breath and think of a constructive way to respond to a post...there is no need to come down to the level of others or start down that road on your own. Also remember that we are all human (well most of us) so WE ALL make mistakes...use the edit button...be the bigger man/woman...relax and enjoy the water.
