I am looking to purchase either the rockfather 1 or 2 lift kit for my 2004, and i was wondering the largest size tires i could safely put on with that kit. I have seen a liberty on here with 245/75/16 BFGs on it, and i found some goodyears that same size that i am interested in. I also found some 265/75/16 mickey thompsons, but i am not sure if they will clear. I know the tire question has been posed many times, that is why i have waited to ask until i knew specific sizes i was looking at.

thanks for the help
evan

First off Welcome :D & make sure you check out the L.O.S.T. Northeast club section & sign in :)

Now to answer your question most all here that do run a lift have 245/75 there may be some rubbing issues but thats fixed by first hammering down the pinch weld & maybe some fog light door cutting, sorry don't know much about that lift most here run the Franken lift or Rusty's lift there may be a couple here that have it but I'm unsure

i agree with the pinch weld, if you wanted to run those 265's though, you might have to do a clevis lift and maybe some trimming?? Not to sure, haven't tried those size yet...

What kind of terrain are you planning on running in? MT/R's are great for rocks but there are better tires out there for mud.

There are alot of people on here running the 245/75/16 MT/Rs. You should be fine with them. I have them as well.

I just got my MT/Rs on Sat. They look awesome, I did have to trim the front air dam with my dremel. I still think I have to do some more trimming. The good news is that they don't seem to rub the pinchweld at all.
