Looks like rear scrappage. Need that Rock Lizard Rear bumper for better departure angle.

Awesome. I'll be out of town most of the day Saturday (Wedding Anniversary). Going to Denver to spend time away from the kids, and to pick up my Ford 8.8 rear axle [monstergaragevoice] FREEBIE FREEBIE FREEBIE [/monstergaragevoice]. Also getting some Ford 9" thirds from the same guy. Well, they not quite free, but not even close to the $500 one should have paid for those axles. Sorry, offtopic.

Sunday might be good. Maybe I'll have a rear bumper for you to try on, but we'll see. :D

I'm going to put the 8.8 with disc brakes in my XJ for now, after I throw in 4:88's and Aussie lockers front and rear. That will get me through Moab in April if I don't have my full width axles done by then ($$$$). The 8.25 in my XJ now will get the disc brakes off the wifes ZJ D35 (nearly complete bolt on), then I will mount it under the ZJ, since the wife wants to build her rig up for Moab as well, so the D35 axle has to go in the trash ASAP.

Troy, you had it easy... John and I got out rough... I found more damage... That tree busted the lens on one of my fog lights. And, I got a wierd vibration and noise at 45mph, but it is not constant, nor all of the time at that speed. I cannot replicate it on purpose, but it comes out. I am going to check my u joints on my next day off...

Anyone got ideas other than u-joints?

OH, and where are the Pics from last weekend?

I posted some but have not been able to get them to open up automatically. For the time being I have made them clickable URL's so that at least people can see them w/o cutting ans pasting.

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... 948#130948

I still need to take my trail damage pics. I did find some additional scuffs as well.

My List of new scrapes and damage.

Front passenger turn signal lense trashed
Front passenger marker lense trashed
Small crack/tear and associated scrapes on lower front passenger bumper
Scrapes to passenger rear fender (on the plastic can be easily sanded)
Small Scrapes to driver side fender
Muffler dents
Mangled rear passenger upper control arm mount (now matches driver side mount )

For the most part it is all minor/cosmetic

I did find a site that had the turn signals. I got both shipped to me for a total of $75.

Yeah I know I got lucky, your vibrations could be your u-joints(like you are saying),wheel/s out off balance(as mud falls off?),driveshaft bent,or mud packed in rear drums and/or front rotor slots.Just ideas,it could be alot of things.

Finally edited my first post and wrote up a trail report in the thread on this run. Would have done it this past Sunday if it weren't for that dang Hawai'i earthquake.

No...I was on call for work...I work for the USGS at the earthquake center in Golden and ended up spending most of Sunday at work instead of goofing around at home.
