What's the latest on this? I checked the DPG Offroad website and the Gibson website and have found no information. Have I missed something?

Yep. it is for real and it will be well developed...have talked more than a few times with them. He has called me a few times for Aussieland to ask a few questions about the CRD...exchanged some pics and turbo operation details with him.

Funny thing is they make snorkels and Port-a-Lets (outhaouses)...One for Intake purpose and One for Exhaust issues :D

Sounds like it, but the US folks will have to relocate the radio antenna...we better start thinking about the best way to do that.

I was just thinkin a standoff for the antenna to pull it a bit away from the fender so it clears the snorkel. worst comes to worst, I have XM too so it's not like I really listen to regular radio anyway

What about mounting the antenna to the snorkel? Just run the cable inside the snorkel and out again. Probably a dozy idea, IDK. :)

None of them have snorkels.
this is what we are talking about, this is only a development piece, the final product will look more "finished" I hope.

I stole this image from "monster" on the ausjeepoffroad site, I will take it off if if you dont want it here

I wish we could get the most rear window type antenae that they get abroad, then there would be nothing sticking up.

Prices for these babies will probably be in the $325-$350 range. Dirk is probably going to start a group buy when he knows the crate is shipped. He will let me know and then we can start a thread.

Now that is ugly. I'm going to have to fab my own if that is the planned production model...

I wonder if they'll be dark grey to match the Sport fenders, or paintable, or what? Or did someone already ask this?
