We really REALLY need a snorkel! (Important Update Pg 9)

I believe most KJs have that little air scoop isis...i know that my 05 and current 06 have it, I believe the 03s have it too from what i recall, so that would lead me to believe the 04s have it as well, I'm not sure on the 02s though...

Yeah, moved back here...job I took in AZ didn't work out, and I honestly didn't really like it there all that much.

you're gettin me one of these snorkels for a welcome back present, right?:)

The CRD's do not have that snorkel. They have a square opening lower down by the side of the headlight. Some have been known to switch the bottom end of the airbox to the gas version for possible improved airflow, but mainly because some people had moisture coming in during rain and wind. Wet paper doesn't flow air very well...

Other colors to suit, eh? Wonder if they can make one in jeep green, or maybe make one that is paintable? Of course black to match the plastic on a sport would do just fine.

I believe the standard black (semi gloss plastic) finish will be the main production type, but I think they said they will make a matching grey batch to suit the sport flares ect. The white one in that pic is actually foam, early prototype moulding.

Hmm, looks like they changed some stuff for 07. The A/C clutch is different than my 04's. The anti freeze container is different. They moved the rad cap to the radiator which means its not a closed system anymore.. The air intake looks alittle different and the tranny dip stick is gone.. I also do not see the computer for ESP which I thought went on the fender there..

I dont mean to hijack here BUT

Isn't DC asking for some law suites for the no tranny dip stick? Do they realize they are going to lose money here?

I know he is thinking of making some in flourescent colors...this is not a joke...he really is thinking about it. I would like to have one the same color as the Sport Cladding.

from what i could understand it was the top hat in a luminesent plastic ( so you could find your jeep in the carpark of the pub when its dark

but a full glow in the dark snorkle would be cool
