Ok guys me and a buddy were reseating my plugs i replaced after we took the coolant bottle off (ohmigod that is so much easier) tonight, well i can hear everytime i hit the throttle air being sucked. I can't figure it out where from, and everything we took off, we double checked...

When i took the coolant bottle off, i heard a loud sucktion noise when i pulled it off but didnt see anything missing. Is there a hose or something that connects to the bottom of the bottle?

It's everytime i hit the gas, you can hear it sucking, if you hit the gas slowly it isn't anything you can hear but if you get on it you can hear it and feel it in the engine cover box where it says 3.7. It's going to throw a code sooner or later, i would just prefer find it sooner.

There are three (I think) hoses that attach at different places on the bottle. If it were the big one on bottom, you'd know. When we did our plugs, I found lots of emissions hoses under the plastic shrouding (3.7 plastic piece on top of TB) with lots of cracks. I bought bulk heater hose and replaced three of them that were cracked pretty bad, just from normal use -- 50K mi.

Does the scroude just bolt on? I might take a look under there.

IIRC, we didn't remove that piece with 3.7 stamped on it, just all the intake piping and stuff around it. Loosen those big worm clamps and check out all the little hoses underneath where they connect to the intake....mine were all cracked up where they connected, not a foot from there or in the middle...you know?

Everytime I hit the gas I can hear the intake.. Are you sure its not always done it?

Stand outside with the hood open and give it some gas by hand.. Then you could pin-point the noise and go from there..

its definitly a new nosie. I think i know where the noise is, under that big metal thing in the front... :) Seriously i tryed pulling the linkage and it almost sounds like in the 3.7 schroude so i dunno. I think i might go drag out the shop lamp and go give it another shot

Update-

I went back out and took a listen, i just can't nail down the noise. I am pretty sure it sounds like air moving, but now i wonder if i am crazy now? lol It's a loud swish when you give it quick throttle, and you cant hear it when you ease into it. So far all the hoses i have found looks pretty good so i am lost at this point
