The kiwk trip truck stop where I get my fuel has premium gold winter blend says it wont jell to 10deg. F. Below. This is ultra low sulfur fuel.

Would this eliminate an additive like the power service till the temps got down to below 0 consistently like we get here in WI for extended periods?

All diesel fuel in our climate has anti gel characteristics added during this time of year. It probably will help. But you know our winters...10 below in January isn't unusual.

It seems like fuel additives are a personal thing; some people swear by them and use them all the time, others think they are a waste of money. I use additives year round, and will continue to do so especially now that we have ULSD.

The Premium Gold is made by Koch fuels and is good stuff. Wish I had it up here.

I wonder what else they put in it, I live in a mild climate so even in winter I am not that worried about geling but will be running Power Service at the lowest dose to boost lubricity and add extra gel insurance.

Here is a link to the specs on the Gold Diesel, (Note: Flint Hills is a subsidiary of KOCH ).

http://www.premiumdiesel.com/product/gold.aspx

We have Gold Diesel at Fleet Farm in the summer in MN but in the winter they switch to Arctic Diesel. It is good to -30F.
