That's the same thing a tire shop guy told me about the MTR's. You get used to it and don't notice anything different after a little while, and good shocks and struts help too. If you plan on a winch up front later, I'd go for the HD's. Even a small one in a cradle is at least 70-80 lbs (lighter with the synthetic cable) Everything will sag given time at least you'd have a head start on it.

The franken lift comes with HD coils and a spacer.. Ive never heard of anyone conplain about the ride with it. Couldnt be any worse than it since you wouldnt have the spacer. :)

before I installed the OME HDs there was one set of railroad tracks that I had to go down to about 25 mph to cross, no way any faster then after I now go over them at 45/50 no problem staying within the speed limit you know. So wash board roads should be no problem. I think the problem goes back a few years when if you put heavy duty springs on any jeep....well you better wear a seat belt all the time. Just got back from a 500 mile run for turkey and mine ride great!I dont think you can go wrong with them in the long run

I mentioned that I wanted HD springs to a friend of mine and he said that the ride will be bad. You will feel every bump on a roan, rail road tracks and things. He also mentined that wash bords dirt roads, like we have here in places, will be a tarrible ride.

I wanted to ask the question about this, and now have the opertunity. How much truth is there about having the HD springs and hard over bumps? I would not be geting bumpers, but maybe front hitch for a removable winch.

With the normal stuff in the back. but for every day driving, it will not be loaded down.

You know what.........When I got me Jeep back after the OME setup when in, it rode SOFTER than factory and that was half the reason I changed the rear shocks to a different type of OME shock, because the ride was too soft for me. I was much happier after I put my new rear shocks in, ans since the uprated Super HD front custom coils - even happier. The new 485Lb front coils match better with the OME HD struts.
