I'm not sure how many of them there are, but here in AZ we just got a Goodyear tire store. It is owned by the corporation and gets the tires direct from Goodyear. Plus, they are willing to price match. Anyways, I'm tire shopping and got a quote there. They are willing to sell the Mt/Rs in 245/75/16 for $140 new. I thought that was a smoking deal. Just trying to decide if that is the best tire for me.

for wheeling?? mt/r's are hard to beat. Mine have seen the terrain from the Colorado rocks, Moab, to the desert/trails of Arizona. Performed great. But if you want on road permormance and low road noise, they won't win many awards.
i got over 30K out of my first set. Probably could have got more if I rotated on a better schedule. I don't put nearly as many miles on them now as I did in Colorado so I think they will be done in by the sun before the miles.

Anyways I like them for offrroading, but if you want street type performance(ie. road noise, tread life, ride) there are probably better tires out there.

Yeah. I think I'm gonna go with the new Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors. All the research I've done has been pretty positive and the prices are becoming reasonable.
