 Post subject: Another Tire question

I might have a line on a free set of 255/70R16's. I have an 02 withe Rusty's coift. Will these tires fit?

Should.. I had those on my libby with the 1.5in OME lift.. They did ok but did rub on the pinch seam, foglight door, and rear fenders. I have the cragars with 5" BS so that makes a difference. I sold them and bought some 245/70/16 tires to help with MPG and torque.. :wink:

yes they will but back spaceing will be key I would think w/stock wheels you should be fine



I would not worrie about the speedo with that tire hight
30.1" high 10" wide

My Toyo 255/70/R16's fit great and look great... they only SLIGHTLY rub the inside of the front fender at full lock... can't hear it, but I can see where it grazes the fender. I would definitely recommend the size.

I'm lifted about an inch and a half but I've heard of people doing it on stock suspension without any problems

Thats what I am looking at getting if they have a good wide tread

No way the 255/70/17 tires would fit on a stock libby. I had the General Grabbers which were fairly aggressive.. That may be why mine rubbed so bad.. :?

I know of someone with 255/70/R16 REVOs on a stock suspension with very little rubbing, if any at all...

I'll get some pictures of my Toyo Open Country AT's soon... I can tell you now though that I absolutely love them... looks and performance
