I have created a monster. I finally decided to put a custom leather interior in the CRD. The exterior is Atlantic Blue. So, I had black leather on the sides, with an exact match to Jeep's Atlantic Blue in the center (finally got rid of that sh-tty cloth that stains when you breath on it!). Now I've created a monster. I want to change out the ugly gray door panels to black ones.

Does anyone know if the earlier black door panels from 03 or 04 will fit an 05? Occasionally I see them parted out on Ebay.

Now I finally see how people end up not being able to stop... it is kind of addictive!

I'd post pictures, but we're on our fourth day of sub-freezing temps and snow - the KJ isn't looking its cleanest right now, though it's happy!

Yes...they will fit. There is a difference in the tabs that connect the panel to the metal. You will need the older tabs for the older panels. But it is as easy as just switching them out. Do you need instructions on taking the panels off? And good luck with the project!

Thanks, AZScout. I've taken the panels off before to install heated mirrors (they came in handy last week when I drove home in -2 snow), so I know exactly what you mean about the clips. When I find the panels I want, I will get some new clips. So far, I've been impressed with the durability of those little, plastic clips considering how many times I've taken the interior panel on and off to look at speakers, mirror electricals, etc. Hopefully the old ones are as durable.

Thanks again.

B.
