You think its possible to swap the 05-07 front ends onto the 02-04's? Like fenders, hood, lights etc...

What's the reason for the different front end on the renegades? Is it purely fashion, or rather functionality? Either way, I like the beefed up grill and hood. Wouldn't be interested in swapping though.

Like it or not, I think the purpose of the thread was to see if it was possible, not whether it looks better or not. Sorry didn't mean to hijack if that is what I did. Anyways, does anyone have any input on whether it will actually work or not? And it'd be cool to have the newer Renny front end to run that pre-runner bar orm is fabbing up.

Dont forget that the newer front ends are going to be easier to make bumpers for, No cutting of flares and such.

I am researching where I saw a similar discussion but just about the hood of an 05+ being fitted for a 02-04. If I remember it said there was some problem with the hood not fully seating on the 02-04 due to angle changes. Apparently there was a gap making the hood not fully closed.... I am looking to find that article.

I think you would need the whole front end, including radiator support, fenders, hood, flares, etc. If I find a good deal on a 05 Rene that has been hit in the back I would consider changing my wifes 04 over to the later Rene style flat hood, etc.

I agree on the bumper on the newer Sports, I think the older ones look better, but the entire set-up of the Renegade looks the best. It would even look better with an aftermarket bumper. But then again, I may be a little partial to the new style.

Sorry I did not add to the original question, but I say go for it if you can.
