So now if you lose your keys and call in the Vin# to roadside assistance, they won't be able to have a local locksmith cut you a key by code....

Don't laugh, it happened to me. Twice!

If he has the security package with the sesnory key they cant. It has to be programed at a dealership.

I too am at my wits' end with my dealership, I keep giving them "one more chance", but every time I go there I leave angry. I call them and they talk me off the edge and I go back. When I stop and think about it, EVERY time I'm in there I get screwed. Last time on the phone with them I asked if they were this bad with everyone, or if I was being singled out? sorry for the rant.......carry on

Follow up:
After 2 weeks, I just sent this email to the owner:
Quote:
Mr. Grant,
While I appreciated the response to my original email, you did indicate that you would speak to Sid and get back to me:

"I will discuss it in great detail with Sid on Monday and I will get back to you sometime
next week. I look forward to earning back your trust and your business."

It is now almost a full 2 weeks later and I have yet to hear from you. I hate to jump to conclusions but it seems that this wasn't all that important to you. I'm sorry to hear that as I thought that maybe you were interested in why you were losing customers. I guess I was wrong.

Sid is probably on vacation...or as in my area he went hunting.

LOL, anyway I loved the letter and am equally diappointed in the lame response you have gotten. It is not like you expect a new Jeep but maybe at least some sort of real acknowledgement of the fault in all this like some thing of value for free.

Gets better:
Went in today to get the rim they owe me and laying on the counter is an R/O with this writeup:
"Repair engine damage due to wrench left under the hood on last R/O."
Couldn't see what kind of car it was on though.
Oh, and my normal service writer told me she's quitting because she "can't deal with this place any more". She came over from thier other dealership (where I used to go) to straighten out this one. Guess it was a lost cause.

Maybe Sid decided to cut his losses. Maybe he realizes that most people who get to the point you have and threaten to pull their business still do after that "last complaint" is resolved.

You'd be better off learning to wrench or if your not into it, finding a good independant mechanic you can trust. If you really do buy a new Jeep, you should drive straight to Sid to show him your new ride.

Cut your losses, learn, and move on. You have a 4 year history and you keep going back!

Like I said, purchased it there and while the issues added up, they were each taken care of in a 2nd or so trip. Hard to find decent dlrs in this area at all. However, I did just get an email and cell phone message from Sid (ironically, about an hr after my last post, while I was installing my new driving lights) and he'd like me to give him a call.

Of course when I went to lift my hood to install my driving lights, these 2 little "L" shaped tubular clippy things fell out. Turns out last time they worked on it (when they screwed up the rim) they also managed to leave off the clips that hold the (what looks like the) radiator overflow hose to the top of the engine. I could see where they came from because of the marks on the hose. The other end clips onto a bolt on the top of the engine. Can't make this stuff up!

I don't think it will generate anything you want from them. In fact, I think you'll just get the typical form letter back saying thank you for your interest in our company.
