OK, my electric fan will not turn off ever!, engine light is on, code says I have a shorted cooling fan relay. Service manual says the relay is on the left wheelhouse, and is controlled through the PCM. I looked in the box in front of the battery, it is not there. I looked under the PCM, not there. Looked under the batery tray, not there...

So, Where in the heck is this dang relay?!

don't know where relay is
but if you want to shut it off, thre is a little connector on the front to the left of the fan upper part - it has a little red snap thingy - make sure you snap it out first before pulling cables apart
that will shut your fan off till you figure out a fix for it

Thanks....I will look again. As for unplugging it, it has been unplugged since October! Glad I have the clutch fan.

I've replaced mine twice.

In my case, the fan STOPPED working. Stopped in traffic, the temp gauge started to rise.

I thought that had something to do with the airbags, sure doesn't look like a relay to me!
How much was it, can you get it aftermarket?

A-r-r-r-g-g-g-hh

I have tried to reply twice and keep getting knocked off line while I am typing so I won't say much this time.

I think it was about $47. My nearest dealer didn't have it in stock either time, but the next closer did.

part no. is 56041891AD.

The CONNECTOR is actually damaged on mine from heat, but it has operated OK now since June.

As an update, the relay part has changed dramatically! It is now twice the size of the old one, and costs $76!!!

It has this huge heat diffuser on it. You have to even drill a new hole in the frame to mount it. The new part number is 68023333-AA.

Going to be a real PIA to drill where the instructions state, so I may try to put it somewhere else!
