Just got this from trailready.com:

"Dear Enthusiast,

Here's an update on the redevelopment of the XJ, WJ, and KJ products.

All products are listed are going back into production as I write this. The difference between the new releases and the pictures on our site of the older production runs will be the minor visually, while significant in design where strength and weight savings are concerned. On the rear bumpers, there will be no hitch receivers or tire carriers offered.
We are not bringing back the wrangler product line at this time. The Liberty bumpers will fit 02 to current models. There's no 05 Grand Cherokee yet.

We currently have side guards for XJ, ZJ, WJ, in stock and Liberty side guards in production.

The aluminum roof rack we've been working on for some time is in final development.

We will begin taking orders on all models Jan 1st. I anticipate 4 weeks lead times to start."

Kinda sucks though that their rear bumpers won't have reciever hitches or spare tire carriers. Hopefully we would be able to run larger tires soon and I for one would want to still have it on the back, not on the roof. And as for the hitch, c'mon how much more would it add to the weight or cost to weld on a 4" long piece of square tubing?

I see that as the downfall of the product. I know i wouldn't buy it w/o a hitch.

That sounds promising.

I think a reciever hitch would be nice, but not necessary. I think they will still get sales, especially if you could use the stock hitch or another aftermarket one.

I don't understand why the Liberty is such a hard SUV to make products for. I was watching "Truck TV" on Spike TV the other day, and for $700 they got the front bumper, grill guard, receiver hitch, and recovery points with shackles. The rear bumper was another $700, and it had the hitch, recovery points, tire carrier, jerry can, and hi-lift mount (all on a swinging arm). If BJs offroad (www.bjsoffroad.com) can provide that for ancient fullsize jeeps, why can't a company like it provide that for new jeeps? It's just a hunk of metal for jeeps sake! The only thing that makes it "KJ" is that the places you mount it to happen to line up with a KJ, and it's about the right width. Come on!

I believe you can mount any bumper (front anyway) on a KJ. One would simply have to fab mounts. The KJ is no different than any other vehicle. It too can be pimped.

It's the things like IFS & 8.25 diffs that are the real problem. Of course one could change out those items as well.

That rear bumper is so ugly it is almost a must have.

Seems like they might as well make a full around armor system.

A lot of money to be spending (front/rear) to be taken out on a side impact by a car, much less a truck.

Being part of the FSJ (Full Size Jeep) crowd for a while, I'm familiar with BJsOffroad. The thing to keep in mind is that while FSJs are old, there had 20 some years of production and there is a very large crowd that do everything from restore them to wheel them hard.

The "problem" with KJs is they've only been around a relatively short period. Add to that the fact that while the number of people here on this board may be into wheeling and modding KJs, the reality is a large number (probably the vast majority) will never get modded.

Don't get me wrong, someplace like BJs for the KJ crowd would be awesome, but to be successful, you have to have a market. I just don't think there's the volume out there to support a single company dedicated only to KJs yet.

Just my 2 cents.

Jeff

That rear bumper would be a lot better if they would leave off the huge taillight guards. They may be functional, but man they are ugly!
