Well this past weekend all of a sudden i went to turn around and i started hearing a sequeaking coming from the front drivers side it doesnt matter if i turn the wheel left or right i still get the loud squeak and its getting louder. If i park the jeep and bump the front end my back it will squeak. Its a 2005 Liberty renegade with rustys lift installed about 5 months ago. Its going into the shop friday but i would like to know whats going on any one have any ideas????

When mine did a similar thing the dlr told me my rack was bad and replaced it under warranty, no lift in mine. Turned out that the ball joints went in like 10K miles. They were replaced also.

did it take long for them to do that? or was it a one day job? The sounds is like wet rubber grinding together.

Both repairs took a day each. Actual labor was 2-3 hrs each.
I don't know if that's ure actual prob as u have a lift.

ok so i took it back and of course didnt make a noise so they found nothing wrong with it...fast forward to sunday. We are on our way back from a trip and pull in to get gas i put it in park and get out...next thing i know the jeep is rolling back...i hope in and pull the emergency brake...so i fill up and get back in the jeep and take emergency off and put it in drive move up a bit and back in park...same thing it starts to roll. Thing is never had a problem with this..so somehow between us leaving and driving the park brake doesnt work. So this morning we took it into the shop...supposed to call me back in a few hours but he says from the noise it was making last time and now this looks as if they will have to pull the transmission. So i dunno whats up...anyone elese ever had or heard of this problem? Only have 22k on the jeep.
