I have the patience, it the communication of expectations. I dont expect long frequent emails or apologies. Just something.

And just to be clear, I was talking about a pre-production ordered rear bumper that was due for shipping Aug-Sep 06. Not a front that is still in R&D and not even released. I was waiting to see what the newly tweaked front would look like before I ordered, or begged All J to make theirs again. (Heather said maybe in April). I've seen ONE post from a KJr showing off his new RL rear bumper. People around here like to show off their goods. That's what has me wondering what's up.

I could post pictures of my Rear, but it is unpainted and not attached. Uhhh......bumper, you pervs! It is only the prototype though. Waiting for money to paint it the way I want to, not just paint what I can afford.

My Super Skinks were definitely worth the wait. Couldn't ask for a much better product.

At least you got yours. Still waiting for mine :)

Mine is the prototype, not the production model. I was hoping to have it painted or powdercoated with matching paint, but they both run around $450. I do not want to go with black powdercoat for $150.

I've only spoken to Marty by phone but was extremely impressed with his knowledge and work ethic in doing things right. He had no qualms in me looking at other vendors and told me his observations, pluses and minuses, about other products. Having said that, he was always busy with running the paper side of his business, taking care of his children and making Jeep parts, not just KJ's but XJ's as well, all with a back injury. All I can say is please be patient, he is working very hard, and the end product is truly top notch stuff.

Just a thought; I’m not sure where the air bag deployment sensors are on our Libertys. I’ve read somewhere that only a “manufacturer” approved bumper should be acceptable. Non-approved bumpers may prevent the correct deployment of an air bag during an accident :(
I’m sure RL has thought of this as well and we should have no problems being that the bumper is being monted on the same mounting points as our OEM bumpers. Any thoughts :?:

I don't know the answer, but there's some interesting info here:

As far as I know his will be attached (about) the same as say an ARB which is what I have. If you have ever taken a Liberty bumper off you would see that the attachment "points" are much different than anything aftermarket would be. A 3 year old could take a Liberty bumper off in two minutes. Any aftermaket bumper will be so much better than a piece of formed plastic hanging on with a few screws. Plus I think that the air bag sensors are back further under the Liberty (someone correct me if I am wrong) so the bumper has really nothing to do with them. I would be afraid to drive a Liberty now without an aftermaret as the stock one looks like if you hit a Yugo it would be completely torn off.

Rock Lizards will be worth waiting for I am sure, anything good is. I waited for my wife for 22 years, and she was worth the wait!!

The airbag sensors are on the vertical radiator supports(1 on each side).Just remember the new gen airbags deploy to g-force not on any frontal impact.

I've seen something around this area I just wasn't sure what it was. I completely forgot about the G-force.
