Locker install (DONE!)

So the ARB has been burning a hole on the work bench way too long. Now that the holidays are over and I have the winter off. I want to get this installed.

Anyone know a good shop in the area that will do the work. I was thinking Jeff Daniels but if I can get someone a little more local to Baltimore or DC I'd be a happier man.

How about Adams Jeep in Aberdeen?

The only place I know of close to me (DC) is High Tech Auto and Truck. They seem like good guys, but I've never had any work done with them.

4x4 Connection in Winchester is one of the larger authorized ARB distributors and installers. I bought my bull bar from them.

I thought of Adams too. But think I would rather go to Jeff D's, than pay dealer shop rates. I will check out the two unixxx suggested.

I thought Coleman Bro. the local speed shop would do it. I mean gear work is gear work. But they have no interest in working on a Jeep

Any other suggestions :?:

Hey Jason, you may want to post the same question on the Maryland Creepers site. Most of the members are in your area and they wheel everything including buggies. Happy New Year to all.

How about Adrenaline Off-road in Burtonsville. It's down near DC. There's also Mid-Atlantic 4x4 in Glen Burnie. I have no problems with Adam's though but if I didn't go there, I'd probably check into Adrenaline. They do everything up to building tube rock buggies.

Without a regear, it would have only taken a day or two to install my rear locker.

Adrenaline Off-road is a good idea. I will have to call them tomorrow. As for Mid-Atlantic. I will never step foot in there shop again. I had problems with them in the past with my old Cherokee. Let’s not go there...

I have been following your thread on the install. All I'll say is you have guts. I do not want to think of the mess I would get myself into if I tried what you are doing. Fortunately I'm only getting the locker. I was fortunate enough to have 4.10's upgraded at the factory. But still I know I would screw something up. :roll:

Thanks XR. I did try them but no luck. I have gotten Jeff Daniels to do the work. It goes in Tuesday it will take two days to finish. Just in time for the club run.

Hey did you ever get your tires fixed? We are heading up to Paragon on the 20th.

I DID IT!!!

After months of wishing, waiting and dreaming. It’s finally done. The ARB Air Locker is installed. The sucker has been setting on the work bench since October. But better late than never right?

I spent the last two days up at Jeff Daniels getting this done. While I was there I had them look into what has been grinding in the front. I had a chipped tooth on the ring gear so they had a new set of gears overnighted and installed the next day. Now I don’t have them competing with the howl of the tires. To drive me nuts.

Thanks everyone who helped me with this. Now I have to get out and test it. :twisted:

Thats two down in one day. Must be a record. Who's is next.
