Anyone ever had your ABS light go on intermittently? Sometimes it never comes on but mostly it comes on after a few miles of driving and stays on. Just prior to this failure I get brake chatter like the system is engaging; this, on a dry high traction road.

Any ideas where to start looking?

Fuse for the ABS in the fuse box in the engine bay next to the battery...maybe it is loose or needs replacing perhaps??? Just a starting point I guess...

I had that happen-it ended up being the front wheel speed sensor. You can have the codes pulled. There is no OBD scanner that I know of that will pull our ABS codes. I had to go to the dealer and pay for them to pull the code. It will tell you exactly whats up. If you get multiple errors and they include the wheel sensor, just replace that first ($20). The wheel sensor trickles down to throw CAB errors so they'll try and convince you you need a new one of those too ($700).

Most likely one of your wheel speed sensors failing causing abs to go into a false anti-lock stop.the chattering your feeling is the abs pump cycling irratically. If you lived close I have the scanner to determine which one but......need to pull codes.
