I see everyone runs 245/75-16, or 235/85-16's with the 2.5 lift. Does anyone run 265/75-16's, or won't they fit with a 2.5" lift ? I run 265/75-16 bfg's on my ranger, and they look and perform verywell. I was just wondering, and would assume they don't fit since no one seems to be running them.

I run the 265/75/16s on mine with 2.5 lift. Pounded pinch weld, heated front lower inner fender and pushed it in a little. But other than that, very slight rub when backing up with wheels cut full. Also light rubbing on swaybar at full cut.

Cooper ATR's are less agressive. I doubt rubbing would be small with MTR's or MT's on at that size.

Revo's and KO's might be ok.

How is the gas mileage and power with those tires on?

I run 265/75R16 MT/R's and only had to hammer the pinch weld down and no rub anywhere else,I'm running the SkyJacker 2.5" lift without the "softride coils".

Ah, but you have an ARB bumper on. Did you remove the wheel well liner in the front? For me, the plastic gets rubbed even with the 245/75's. I even heated it up and pushed it forward a little but limited due to the fog lights sitting there.

Yeah I have the ARB, did rub slightly with the old plastic POS bumber, but I also had 3.75" BS rims at the time.I bet with my new rims I wouldn't rub at all.The back is a whole different story though.

Tokyojoe, were you asking me about power and mpg with 265's or one of the kj guy's? I'll answer in case it was me, I'm sure you could care less about a ranger, but they didn't hurt my power at all. The stock tires were 245,s and I have 4:10 gears and a 5-speed manual. I also have a bunch of mods like intake, headers, udp and bama tuner. I get 21 - 22 around home and 24 highway, but I live in the country and do no real big city driving. As for a liberty with 265's, I'm clueless as I'm still on stock tires, but would like to know myself.

Wendell,
I live in Grafton on Elm St. in the yellow house across from Mac's Lumber, and run 265/75/16 TrXus on my Libby. Stop by sometime when you're in town and check it out.

I also just purchased an 02 Ranger 4X4, so we could shoot the stinky poo about that also.

Later,
Nick
